We can go through this life,
Running on emotion in strife.
What our purpose is,
How we are to exist.
Never ending search for happiness,
Thinking temporary pleasures are bliss.
Momentary lapses sprinkled in,
A life of pain and confusion.
You can stay in the life of earthly pleasure,
And the pain will endure.
Exist in a constant state,
Of anger, envy, fear, and hate.
After it’s over and the pain is through,
You’ll have death to look forward to.
Or submit yourself to something pure,
And ask for Him to show you the cure.
