What does “having it all” mean to you? Is it attainable?
“For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.”
Romans 11:36 KJV
“for by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:”
Colossians 1:16 KJV
“Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe.”
Philippians 3:1 KJV
Only takes one time to hear it for it to be learned but it takes time and repetition for it to be truly known. By having Jesus in your life, one has everything because Jesus is all we need. Through him all our needs will be met. May not be everything we want but sometimes what we want isn’t what we need. A father denies his children of things that are not good for them, we may dislike it but a caring father, who does that because of the love he has for them, is one to be respected, loved, and glorified. Takes things away when we are to learn a lesson, gives things even when we might not deserve them, but always provides for our needs and sustains us. I have faith in God to provide all that I need, and that surpasses knowing. “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7 KJV. Once you have God, you will have all that you need.
“Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”
Matthew 6:31-34 KJV
If one’s idea of “having it all” isn’t attainable, what would be the benefit of holding onto that idea? Chain one’s life to an unattainable idea in the hope it comes to fruition. Even if it’s obtained, if that idea is void of God, it will have all been for nothing.
“Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”
Matthew 6:19-21 KJV
I remember hearing similar statements before being saved and thinking “there’s no way it’s that simple” or “it can’t be true”. I’m here to tell you it is the truth. It is not my truth but His truth written out in the Word, which makes it everyone’s truth. Amen. Our denial of the truth causes all the emotions that make one feel that they don’t “have it all”. No God, no peace. Know God, Know peace. I pray whoever reads this comes to know God and receives all that they need. Amen
