Mental multiverse

Describe your life in an alternate universe.

We shouldn’t live in the mental multiverse. Yes there is infinite possibilities to our lives. Each choice we make creates this singular reality. However, other realities of difference choices does not exist. There is only one universe, one reality. When we spend time in the mental multiverse we become lost in this reality.

Take “Doctor Strange 2” for example. A movie about the multiverse. Wanda, the main antagonist, is trying to live in the multiverse or at least transport to a different reality. Regardless of the harmful affects if she would be successful (i.e. an incursion that destroy both realities), the effects from even trying to accomplish this are catastrophic. Wanda used a dark power called the “Darkhold” described as (from Collider.com) “The real Darkhold exists in a temple on Mount Wundagore, where the demon Chthon (remember that guy?) wrote his evil spells onto the walls of the fortress. The spells were later copied down into book form, copies of which exist all throughout the multiverse. But the Darkhold, for all its power and possibilities, is something that corrupts, because it’s rooted in magic that should not be. Forbidden magic. Chaos magic,”

Think about when painting an alternate reality, what emotions are usually involved? Envy, regret, greed, fear, or other negative emotions. One does not, or at times can not, handle the trials or realities of this universe and attempt to live in another one, mentally.

I’ve even done this in the past temporarily with vacations. Go away for a time and pretend it’s a different reality. A time to escape my current life and create a new one for a time. Pretend my problems aren’t current anymore or just escape them for a time. Then come back to reality for every truth to come flooding back, then stagger through hoping and waiting for my next chance to escape.

Truth is there is only one reality. We may be able to change certain aspects of our reality but for the rest one can only change their perspective. Replacing envy and greed with gratefulness, regret with acceptance, and fear with hope.

The greatest change that I made, which has improved my reality is accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. By doing this, I can give all my negative emotiona to Him and trust Him, the creator of the entire universe, to create my reality. By truly trusting in God, to provide and to conquer all of my battles, my mind is able to take “mental vacation” to focus on what matters most.

“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭33‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭28‬ ‭ESV‬‬

It’s a struggle at times to remain in the present. Even with hope for the future, a positive expectation can corrode mentality when it doesn’t come to fruition as fast as we want, how we want, or if ever. To be accepting of Gods will means whatever happens it couldn’t happen any other way. Learn from mistakes, accept variables, look for reasons to be grateful, and don’t worry about tomorrow.

If you are going through life with your mind splintered across an endless mental multiverse, think how powerful you could be when solely focused on this one. How often mistakes are made when we try to “multitask” or complete one task while thinking about another. A lot of times when mistakes are made, we are focusing on the wrong thing. Focused on Jesus, Peter was able to walk on water and as soon as he took his focus off Jesus, Peter began to sink.

I pray Father to remain in the present and to focus more on You. To be grateful more, letting go more of what I can’t control, accepting things I don’t understand, and trusting You more. I pray to appreciate the life You designed for me. Help me to overcome my fears and regrets. Help me to be more grateful for what I have and trust You to provide for my needs. Thank you for my life, this reality, and all the time that I get to appreciate it. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

“Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭34‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock.” Isaiah‬ ‭26‬:‭4‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John‬ ‭14‬:‭6‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“And Jesus cried out and said, “Whoever believes in me, believes not in me but in him who sent me. And whoever sees me sees him who sent me. I have come into the world as light, so that whoever believes in me may not remain in darkness. If anyone hears my words and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world.” John‬ ‭12‬:‭44‬-‭47‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬ ‭ESV‬‬

This is inspiring?

What’s the most money you’ve ever spent on a meal? Was it worth it?

What is this question meant to inspire? A thought about a meal and whether or not it’s high value was worth it? Is this meant to be a form of boast? That I could afford a meal that wasn’t worth it? Or that I was able to afford a meal that was so expensive, it was?

That’s a lot of deep thought for a vain outcome. I’d rather be grateful I get to eat and find better inspiration:

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.” 2 Timothy‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬-‭17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Inspired: outstanding or brilliant in a way or to a degree suggestive of divine (Merriam-Webster Dictionary)

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Death is suicide

Everyone that dies, dies from suicide. What about car accident, sickness, accidents, or natural causes? Yes, those are the reasons their mortal bodies are no longer walking the earth. Does that mean they are dead? Not necessarily.

One person that I know truthfully, that died, is Jesus. He died on the cross, for our sins, and then rose again on the third day. Everyone else that has passed away before or since then, (other than those in God’s word that sealed their fate: Cain, Judas Iscariot and etc for example) their fate is unknown. It is not for anyone else to decide.

“But the righteousness based on faith says, “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’” (that is, to bring Christ down) “or ‘Who will descend into the abyss?’” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim); because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:6-9 ESV

Being saved from death can happen and could have happened with anyone, even within their last breath. What does it matter to one, the fate of another? Is there not enough room in heaven? Is it that there is someone that you couldn’t be in heaven with? The person we are now or who we are on this earth is not who we will be in heaven. By then one will be sanctified and purified of unrighteousness. God takes so much away from a person through justification, how much more will be stripped away through sanctification and glorification.

Regardless, a life lived without God leads to a death, or afterlife, without God. How could that surprise someone to hear? “That doesn’t sound like a forgiving God.” Can one be forgiven when they never ask for forgiveness?

My life before God, I claim was like hell. That’s mostly because I’m weak and a complainer, but to be sealed in that fate for eternity, that’s hell. No need for the fire and torment, for me, just the thought of possibly being left alone to my own thoughts for eternity and without the barriers of Gods guidance to them, unimaginable torment. The depths that my mind was able to descend to, before Jesus saved me, it was the stuff of nightmares. No wonder I had so many back then.

To think that I did almost seal my fate stuck in that mindset. That was the extent of what I knew. All the problems that I, myself, alone, created and my only solution was that. Glory be to God, who saved me from that fate.

What about those who weren’t? I ask, what is the difference between one that chooses to end it, what seemed as early, or those that live an entire life but never chose to believe? The same lack of choosing to believe ultimately ends with the same result. Again, I am not venturing to assume what becomes the fate for anyone. God knows and has told us what are the results of our choices.

I believe this is a root of many problems in a person’s life. The thought that this is all for nothing. That everything we are going through, all the struggles and hardships, trials and tribulations, even all the success and enjoyment. What’s the sense of it, if in the end we just die? Some believed or believe this is the case so much that it might as well happen now and be done with it. What’s the sense in going on? Others stagger through it, pressing on for a multitude of vain reasons. Regardless of how unselfish those reasons might be portrayed as, if they are keeping you alive then who are they truly for?

“For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord’s.” Romans 14:8 ESV

I pray more learn to live for the Lord. Give your life meaning, by finding its purpose that was set by the One who designed it. I pray Father this for others and myself, to learn to follow you better. To make You our main focus, to better ourselves by Your word. Which in turn makes us better at whatever we are doing as a hobby, financial or not. Living by You and for You makes us heirs to Your promises. Promises that You will provide for all our needs, that You will fight all our battles, and that You will grant us eternity. You have died for us, so that no one else shall need to suffer that fate, because You love us. If you need God now and forever, “And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.” Matthew 21:22 KJV. In Jesus name I pray, Amen

“We love him, because he first loved us.” 1 John 4:19 KJV

“That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.” Ecclesiastes 3:15 KJV

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28 KJV

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 KJV

Intelligence

What are you curious about?

Artificial:humanly contrived (see CONTRIVEsense 1b) often on a natural model :MAN-MADE (Merriam-Webster dictionary)

Intelligence:the ability to learn or understand or to deal with new or trying situations :REASON (Merriam-Webster dictionary)

Belief:a state or habit of mind in which trust or confidence is placed in some person or thing (Merriam-Webster dictionary)

What’s is the difference between the intelligence of a robot, that is either inputted by its creator or compiled data from experiences, and the intelligence of a human, that gains intelligence in the same manner? The Artificial intelligence has access to more information from being plugged into the cyber world and can store more information than most humans due to design. How is that information vetted to be true or not? What are the parameters that determine what information an A.I. has is true or not?

Wouldn’t all the knowledge we gain through life in a world created by man, be considered artificial intelligence? If that is the case, where would natural intelligence come from? It would have to be a source outside of man. Can the natural world teach us? Possibly. Should we be like Mowgli and be raised by animals? I’m sure we could learn better ways to be happy from animals, who do not require all that we do for fulfillment in life.

What about gaining intelligence from the Bible? This depends on your faith. Many believe the Bible is also man made. Man made over 1500 years by multiple men and compiled together to tell one congruent story.

“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.”
‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬-‭17‬ ‭ESV‬‬

All knowledge given in one portion of the Bible can be “fact checked” or confirmed in another writing. Some say the Bible contradicts itself but I believe what is seen as a contradiction is a narrowing down of knowledge to such a specific meaning that is beyond one’s current understanding. There are much bigger contradictions in the man made world that are accepted as knowledge based on a persons choice to accept it as such.

So what is intelligence? I believe intelligence is choice. What one chooses to believe and how to act compiles their intelligence. Who decides whether one’s intelligence is right or wrong? Themselves? Other people? The universe? God? This judgement can only affect the person that chooses to allow it.

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭1‬:‭7‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Fear: profound reverence and awe especially toward God (Merriam-Webster dictionary)

Fool:a person lacking in judgment or prudence (Merriam-Webster dictionary). According to Blue Letter Bible, the Hebrew word for fool is: ĕvîl means;

  1. be foolish, foolish
    1. (subst)
      1. of one who despises wisdom
      2. of one who mocks when guilty
      3. of one who is quarrelsome
      4. of one who is licentious

Smokenspirits

What’s the story behind your nickname?

When I started writing, around the beginning of COVID/March 2020), at that time I was getting into smoking cigars and also barbecue(Smoken). I also was into drinking different kinds of whiskeys and tequilas (spirits). Through my journey, for about the next year and a half, I continued drinking, smoking, and writing trying to figure what was going on in my life.

I’ve thought about changing the “nickname” of my page. I’ve wondered if it would express the wrong message. Smoke and spirits were a way of escape. Escape is not the answer but to seek knowledge and understanding is.

What would I change the name to? when I changed from the life of smoke and spirits I was thirty three and a third years old. 3313. Maybe a change to resemble the current season. Journey from those days until the next phase of life. Thirty three and a third. The next chapter of my story. Glory be to God.

Light of the Matrix

Morpheus becomes enemy, agent smith becomes friend. Who freed who?

Neo made Morpheus the enemy to free him. Morpheus freed Neo, who in turn freed agent smith. Neo (who is again in the Matrix) made Morpheus, the man that freed him, an enemy in his modal. The Matrix, in turn, made agent smith his best friend. The friend that helped Neo build a video game empire. Made a fortune selling the idea of his freedom, in the form of a video game. A video game that became indistinguishable from reality. Some people, like Jude, found the truth when they were young and felt ruined by it. While others, like Bugs, were able to see the man behind the game and was freed.

“In an insane world, the sane ones are called crazy”-Lumalee from Mario Brothers. A character that is made of light and described of as: from Mashable.com “is this neat little glowing fella who casually quips one-liners on the relief of death, the pointlessness of life, and the neverending unknown haunting us all.”

In this life, there is one true light. That light is the One who knows the relief of death, the purpose of life, and where we shall be for eternity, if we choose to believe. Please, I pray for you, escape the Matrix. Choose to believe there is a true reality. One where all that you should truly hate is gone. Hate is not even a thought. Love is all that there will be, when you are truly set free.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 KJV

“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8 KJV

“And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.” 1 John 4:16 KJV

“and thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.” Deuteronomy 6:5 KJV

“Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.” Matthew 22:37 KJV

“We love him, because he first loved us.” 1 John 4:19 KJV

Glory be to God and all God’s people said, Amen 🙏

Dealing with different me

The highs and the lows,

cause my faith to be to and fro.

When I’m up I’m free,

But when down I’m not me.

I get taken over by fear,

Like God isn’t near.

I start to worry,

Like I’m in a hurry.

As if there’s a sense of urgency,

Like I don’t have eternity.

But even when I’m up,

It can still be tough.

Humbling is the fall,

When dreams stand too tall.

No need to build a path,

When it’s set from time past.

Trying to find how to be,

In the narrow middle where I’m free.

Blame

What bothers you and why?

“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6‬:‭12‬ ‭NIV‬‬

That’s guy is a/an…. That person is…. I can’t stand people that…. I hate when people…. You are such a…

Prejudice-an adverse opinion or leaning formed without justgrounds or before sufficient knowledge.

Self fulfilling-becoming real or true by virtue of having been predicted or expected

Product-something resulting from or necessarily following from a set of conditions

Environment-the circumstances, objects, or conditions by which one is surrounded

““Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.”

Do you see where I’m going with this? If not I don’t blame you.

Cake and eat it too

Are you seeking security or adventure?

Why isn’t this question and/or? There’s adventures people go on that are calculated to minimize risk, still there’s always a chance something can go astray. However, my adventure is a journey to eternity with Jesus Christ. He has laid out all the calculations to make it to that final destination. Yes, there may be detours or obstacles on this adventure but He promises us we shall arrive there as long as we are following Him. Faith in that promise provides the security so that I don’t have to worry about what will happen along the way.

Say you plan a trip, the goal is the destination but there’s detours and traffic. All the unforeseen obstacles that slows the progress may be seen as negative because they are just in the way of getting to where you want to go. On the journey of faith, one can rejoice in such obstacles because they are seen as purposeful or intentional. They are put there to teach, grow, train, and sanctify one for the goal of glorification.

Why not have the cake and eat it too? Life can become a joyful adventure when you put your trust in God. Things that become sacrificed are not necessary for happiness. They were required by our own choice and ask yourself what have they done for you so far. If your journey has been feeling like a lost hike in a dark forest, allow the Creator of the Universe become your guide and see where He can take you. It’s not perfect or easy all the time but the climb to the top of a high mountain yields the best view.

“Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭5‬:‭3‬-‭5‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬
