Life of success

What is the meaning of life? Why are we here? What are we suppose to do? Be good person? What does that look like? Who is good anymore? What is good? It’s easy to point out something bad. Even when we get something good, most are skeptical and think it’s too good to be true.

Or a polite greeting from a stranger can feel taboo and get skeptically questioned. Acceptance of evil and questioning of good. Assuming evil in others will cause evil. Humans are products of their environment. Expectations, assumptions, norms, requirements, all cause preconceived realities for others and ourselves. Everyone is on their own path through life. It is not for anyone to tell another how to walk down their path. Advice in the form of seeds where the other may generate their own way of thinking is beneficial. Being lost in this world is not corrected by the instruction of someone just as lost. How do we gauge if we are living right? How does one feel about their life? Is joy, happiness, and gratitude being felt the majority of the time? If not, what factor is causing bad emotions and are those factors a necessity for life? Is life determined by income? What is sacrificed to acquire that income? Is the income I claim to need only inflated due to greed or envy? In the end, a successful life is gauged by the definition we each have as to what constitutes success. Gauging our own success in comparisons to the levels of others success is an effect of envy. If one remains in a state of gratitude the stress to gain more success dissipates. Being thankful for what one has and working towards a vision could be more beneficial than chasing a vision for the promise of its income. In the end, create a vision of what you want your life to be and question how much of that vision you actually need. One can own the whole world and still not have everything. Success isn’t everything.

“But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.”

Matthew 6:20 NIV

“What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit their very self?”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭9:25‬ ‭NIV‬‬
